Russell Mining Co.FRocks

Thin styrofoam sheet, glue gun and “FRocks”

Time to think ahead and make a lightweight standalone backdrop, using my stockpile of “FRocks”

Glue gun was too slow, so I went back to using liquid nails

“Frocks” are “ripped” into shape

Slowly, the project taking shape, with some vertical scenery

Decided to use Texture paint to cover the “FRocks” for this project. It should give me that “crusty” rock look.

The texture paint is water based and can be used indoor’s, for a bit of “desktop” scenery work.

”FRocks” placed under ducting heating vents to dry. Takes about an hour.

Then I do some laundry and hang the clothes to dry. That’s multi-tasking for you.

”FRocks” complete and painted using cheap acrylic paints.

Time to add very fine , various coloured dirts, scenery material and trees.

The fun part begins
