King Kong

While touring (March 2006) the North Island of New Zealand I discovered a gem of a book, written by Jenny Wake. The making of “King Kong” a film by Peter Jackson, who I regard as the best director of all time.

The 1930’s New York street scenes remind me of the modeling work by our mate in Boston, George Sellios.

I hope, one day to head back to Wellington, New Zealand, to meet up with the people (WETA) who helped create “Lord of the Rings” and “King Kong”...

...... it’s all part of improving my model building skills , scenery creation and meeting people.

Great weathring ideas.     This full size boat was recreated in two other  scale models.
