Designing as I go.   Placing windows and details to get a feel for the overall effect.

Cutting scribed cladding.  Trying to minimum waste, if possible.

I am at a stage where I need to think about what details will be required for this model.

Thanks to a few friends, who provided me with some web site links, I have been able to research the history of  Sailmakers.

I start with a new cutting blade for every new project.

Using old, blunt blades is just a waste of time.

Experimenting to select a colour for the structure. 

Acrylic paints, mixed with windscreen solution to obtain a stain.

Titanium white added to the brush and blended for colour variation.
